ZETA was proud to serve as a supporting partner of the Dii Leadership Summit, which took place on October 15-16 at the Palais Liechtenstein, Garden Palace in Vienna, Austria! 🇦🇹
The summit focused on scaling up green electrons and molecules projects, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and fostering energy security, local value creation, and resilient economies. It brought together industry leaders and experts from both the Arab world and Europe.
On the second day, ZETA's Secretary General, Jan Haizmann, moderated a panel on carbon markets, initiating a discussion with Andrew Cullen, Matthijs Kusse, and Thorsten Bomm. They explored the challenges and opportunities in carbon markets, highlighting ZETA’s potential role in shaping these evolving landscapes.
Creating traded markets for sustainable products in the GCC requires innovation and persistence to maintain focus on the goals. Trading relationships should develop without emissions, and effective carbon reduction schemes allow for the sustainable emergence of green industries that provide a brighter future for the people in the deserts.
ZETA also hosted a roundtable on the Clean Energy Hub in the GCC, focusing on transforming Market Prices into Market Places. We extend our gratitude to the staff of Dii Desert Energy for organizing such a successful event!
