Jan Haizmann, CEO of ZETA (Zero Emissions Traders Alliance), was featured in Alan Mammoser’s article, “How Hydrogen Will Trade in the Commodity Markets of the Future,” published by Oil Price. Haizmann highlighted the importance of trading sustainable energy to meet carbon reduction goals, citing the success of the EU’s ETS in cutting carbon exposure by over one-third since 1990. He emphasized the need for markets to support sustainable fuels, including green hydrogen and green electricity, to avoid failing carbon targets.

Despite the current nascent state of these markets in the MENA region, Haizmann is optimistic about its potential as a major hub for green fuel production and export. He believes that developing GCC markets for green certificates and valuing "green quality" will drive sustainable investment and industry growth. Haizmann also noted that green energy’s low cost, combined with skilled labor and efficient logistics, will attract new industries to the GCC, advancing regional industrialization. ZETA remains committed to guiding the development of high-liquidity markets for energy and sustainable commodities.
